Board of Governors Award to top-achieving student - Marissa Biasi

Medal to adorn top-achieving student

The Holy Names High School graduate, Marissa Biasi, received a call from the Dean of Business’ office, requesting a meeting, the first thought that came to her mind was “what did I do, or not do?”
Little did she know that this was a good thing! Marissa was named the Board of Governors winner for the Faculty of Business Administration. This now second year student, achieved the highest cumulative average of 96.7% in her first year of studies.
She said winning this award makes her feel very accomplished and grateful that all of her hard work has paid off. In the future she is hoping to achieve her CPA designation and be gainfully employed at one of the top accounting firms.
Marissa says that she got the accounting bug when she was a co-op student in high school working at KPMG. Looking towards her future, “I will continue to work hard towards my goal to achieve my designation.”
