What Went on at Odette October 2009

Women’s Enterprise Skills Training of Windsor Inc. (WEST) has launched the Management Training Program in partnership with Odette School of Business and the Society of Management Accountants of Ontario. It is designed to help accountants trained outside of Canada to qualify for designation as Certified Management Accountants.

The mood was upbeat as a large gathering of students crammed into the Michael Zin meeting space at the Odette School of Business to learn more about what’s being billed as the biggest event in the school’s history. Odette will play host to RoundTable 2010, the largest undergraduate business school conference in Canada, March 11 to 14, 2010.

On October 14, 2009, the Office of Automotive Research (OAR), held its 2010 Outlook Conference at Caesars Windsor featuring an all-star line-up of speakers, all industry leaders, who presented their views on the future with particular emphasis on the automotive industry.

Odette Career and Placement Services (OCAPS) hosted the first ever all business recruitment fair inviting a variety of employers to campus to recruit business students and help connect employers with Odette students.

The Odette School of Business has achieved the professional level accreditation with the Certified General Accountants of Ontario (CGA) program of professional studies.

The Centre for Business Advancement and Research (CBAR) and the Intellectual Property Legal Information Network (IPLIN) launched their Youth Entrepreneurship Program to help youth (18 – 35 years) within the greater Windsor/Essex community become successful entrepreneurs on September 30.
