Odette seeking sessional instructors for Summer teaching

The Odette School of Business intends to offer courses during the intersession/summer session of 2013 that might not be staffed by full-time faculty members as part of their normal teaching loads.  A detailed slate of available courses can be found at the bottom of this page.

Who is Eligible?

In accordance with Article 54 of the Collective Agreement between the Faculty Association and the University of Windsor, the assignment of each section provided on this list will be based on a thorough review of every applicant’s academic/professional qualifications and teaching experience.

Successful applicants will either have a PhD in business (or related discipline) and recent publications in peer-reviewed journals recognized by the Odette School of Business or will have a Masters degree in business (or related discipline) and substantial current managerial or professional experience.  In all cases the publications and/or experience needs to relate directly to the content of the course.

Teaching experience will be evaluated against the following criteria:

  • The applicant’s teaching experience in the course being applied to;
  • The overall teaching experience of the applicant at the university level;
  • Student Evaluation of Teaching (SET) scores for the applicant;
  • Teaching citations provided by the applicant.

How do I Apply?

If you are interested in the opportunity to teach at the Odette School of Business, please complete the attached Sessional-Overload Teaching Application form for all course sections you are interested in teaching and return it to the Odette Dean’s suite reception office no later than 4:30 p.m. on Friday, March 22, 2013.  Alternatively, you could e-mail your completed application form to osbreception@uwindsor.ca.

We must receive your submission prior to this deadline for your application to be considered.

If this is your first time applying to teach as a sessional instructor or if it has been more than 3 years since you last taught at the Odette School of Business, please include a resume (curriculum vitae) of your qualifications with your completed application form.
