Dr. Anne Snowdon in discussion with a team of students

On behalf of the Supply Chain Advancement Network in Health (SCAN Health) and the Odette School of Business, University of Windsor, we are pleased to share details of the inaugural SCAN Health Virtual Business Case Competition (#SCANHvBCC) launching on February 5th, 2018. The deadline for team registration and Round 1 submission is February 18th, 2018.

The SCAN Health Virtual Business Case Competition is the first of four invitational business case competitions designed to build leadership capacity for excellence and innovation in supply chain and logistics strategies in global health systems. This international case competition will bring together the best business school teams in the world to mobilize knowledge and create solutions to advance supply chain capacity in global health systems.

Teams of four undergraduate students are invited to compete in this competition that will showcase students’ knowledge, skills, and innovative solutions to advance supply chain and logistics in a leading global health system. This first of a kind virtual business case competition offers student teams the opportunity to work with global leaders, as expert advisors, to support their learning and success in the competition. Through the online SCAN Health Virtual Business Case Competition platform, students can register a team, receive and submit all case information, and interact with expert advisors.

The competition’s Premier Sponsor, TECSYS Inc., has generously donated prizes for the top three winning teams. The first place team will be awarded $5,000, second place $3,000, and third place $2,000 (prizes are awarded in Canadian dollars). In addition to cash prizes, the top three winning teams will be widely profiled across the entire SCAN Health global network on the website, through social media, and at the network’s events. Winning teams will be provided free registration to attend the Annual SCAN Health Global Networking Event.
